In Solution focused hypnotherapy we focus on the present and the future, rather than the past. We focus on the solutions rather than the problems. A lot of the time we already have the solutions we just need a bit of help and guidance to find them. Hypnotherapy can help you to find the tools and to cope and manage better. It is a talking therapy combined with relaxation (hypnosis) and focusing on the positives, our goals, the present and our future.
Hypnosis is getting into the unconscious part of our mind (which is responsible for our thoughts, emotions, behaviours and habits) where we are more likely to be able to take on positive suggestions for our future and goals. It is a relaxed state of mind where we are in the positive (intellectual) part of our brain. We actually experience hypnosis in our everyday lives such as when we watch the television, drive a regular route, daydreaming, exercising. We do this in fact everyday.
Hypnotherapy with Emma Jane can offer sessions online with the comfort of being at home which has been shown to work just as well as in person sessions, without the travel. I offer sessions on a one to one basis in person as well dependant on client location and availability.
Hypnotherapy differs from other types of therapy as it focuses on the present and the future, rather than the past. It is also solution focused rather than problem focused. Like any type of therapy, clients need to engage and commit to the process and to the homework assigned outside of sessions for sessions to be the most successful.
Hypnotherapy can help with a wide range of mental and physical health concerns. Such as anxiety, depression, OCD, eating disorders, phobias, smoking cessation, weight loss, pain management and many more issues. Hypnotherapy canβt work with any individuals in a current state of psychosis or work with those with a diagnosis of schizophrenia.
You will be pleased that we do work quite quickly compared to other methods of therapy and change is seen quickly. Those struggling with generalised anxiety and depression will require around 8-12 sessions.
Phobia sessions only require 3 sessions
Smoking cessation which also includes vaping only requires 1 session.
Other mental and physical health concerns generally need around 8-12 sessions sometimes more, depending on the individual. Those struggling with pain or weight management will need at least 12 sessions or more.
Hypnotherapy with Emma Jane cannot diagnose, prevent or cure any physical or mental illness and it would be unethical to make this claim. However it can help to assist individuals that are struggling with such issues and help them to cope with these better. Results will vary depending on the individual. Individuals that are committed and engage in the process are more likely to be the most successful. We will make a plan in the initial consulation to help you to achieve your goals and work together towards getting you back!
